Indepdent tyre wholesaler and retailer Micheldever has applied the Motor Codes online customer ratings tool across all its 53 Protyre outlets.

The ratings widget, powered through the Motor Codes online satisfaction survey, displays up-to-the-minute customer scores and feedback.

It appears against all Motor Codes member garages on its home Garage Finder website, plus members can download it to add to their own websites.

Motor Codes' managing director Chris Mason said: “Motorists using our online Garage Finder can choose where to take their car, safe in the knowledge that they’ve based their decision on word-of-mouth recommendation.

"We want to boost confidence and direct customer reviews have proven effective across all retail sectors. Motorists should be able to share their car servicing experiences, just as they would with a meal in a restaurant or a stay at a hotel.”

Alongside the Protyre garages, other early adopters of the ratings technology include a host of independent garages, as well as authorised dealers representing Citroën, Mazda and SEAT.

As well as the openness of its new online ratings, Motor Codes has also adapted its Code Survey to operate on the Net Promoter Score analytic – aligning it with a number of automotive manufacturers and retailers across other sectors.

“The independence of the feedback is the most important element. Garages aren’t cherry-picking testimonials and this adds real credibility to our network,” said Mason.
