Liberty Electric Cars has developed a new e-care aftersales support service for businesses using electric vehicles in the UK.

E-Care technicians will be available at Liberty’s Coventry and London workshops to provide all major servicing and repair work, including a full service, fault diagnostics and mechanical repairs.

There is also a mobile support team to assist EV business owners at the roadside. For the more extreme cases of vehicle failure or damage, Liberty can transport the vehicle to its Coventry or London workshops where the more bespoke replacement parts can be fitted, and then delivered back to the customer.

The Liberty E-Care team was created from the merger of the Liberty Electric Car support team and the Modec Service operation, which collectively had over 250 electric vehicles in the market across Europe.

Barry Shrier, chief executive of Liberty Electric Cars, said: "Our knowledge and expertise in automotive engineering and electric vehicles is unmatched and we're pleased to offer the very highest level of service and support for all types of electric vehicles.

“We have already had a certain number of cutomers like Speedy and Refurb-a-sash sign up for Liberty E-Care and we're receiving enquiries from leasing and rental companies, finance houses and many other businesses."

Liberty said that while it is focussing on fleet EV service work at the moment, it will look to move into retail servicing work for models like the Nissan Leaf, Mitsubishi iMiev and Peugeot Ion.
