Audi has revealed the first official pictures of its soft top version of its RS5.

The cabriolet model features the same engine line-up and technology features as the saloon but customers get a folding fabric roof which will pack away in 15 seconds up to speeds of 31mph.

The folding roof also reduces space in the boot by 60-litres reducing the total down to 380-litres.

The drivetrain is unchanged from the hard-top RS5. A normally-aspirated 444bhp 4.2-litre V8 drives all four wheels via a seven-speed dual clutch transmission.

The RS5 hits 62mph in 4.9secs, giving it a 0.4sec disadvantage against its hard-top sister. The top speed is limited to 155mph.

Prices are yet to be announced but dealers can expect the RS5 Cabriolet to be over £70,000 when it goes on sale in the UK next spring.
