Peugeot has revealed the first details on its new B-segment crossover, the 2008, ahead of the Geneva Motor Show in March.

The French brand hopes the 2008 will build on sales from the 208, which has had 20,000 orders in the UK within six months of being on sale.

The new model will be a rival to the Nissan Juke, Vauxhall Mokka and Ford Ecosport. There will be a 110bhp 1.2-litre three-cylinder turbo petrol, as well as four-cylinder petrols and a diesel options with the most efficient version posting a 99g/km CO2 rating.

Prices have not yet been announced but the 2008 is expected to be priced between £13,000 and £18,000 when it goes on sales in late summer. Order books will open in June.
