National car dealer group Lookers has named Jobco-op as a strategic partner for its recruitment needs.

The top five AM100 motor retailer, which operates more than 90 dealerships across the UK, will use Jobco-op’s BluTic database technology as a source for candidates for its recruitment needs as part of a 12 month deal.

Sarah Williams, Lookers' head of human resources, said: “Clearly, we have an ongoing need to recruit people of the very highest abilities to the business and our experience of working with Jobco-op Automotive has been very good. The quality of their database is excellent and we have already placed several candidates.”

Shaun Price, director at Jobco-op, said: “We have been gradually winning more business from the largest dealer groups in the UK but working with Lookers is our biggest win in this sector so far.

“The general growth in the economy alongside the shortage of high quality candidates means that many major dealer groups are finding it difficult to recruit high quality people, and we expect to enter into more arrangements of this type in the future.”

Jobco-op is a specialist online recruitment agency for the motor industry that was founded in 2012 and whose directors include Ken Trinder formerly of Epyx. The company provides a range of recruitment services from traditional search and selection through to advanced database solutions.
