Autosales Mitsubishi in Bilston has taken on a new fleet sales manager with a familiar face, following an increase in interest from the business sector.

Marc Varnish returns to the company where he started his career and met his wife Debbie, in 1978.

Marc first joined Autosales after leaving school and worked his way up to sales manager, before leaving in 1995 to work in sales in the photocopier industry. He and Debbie were married in 1982 and they have two sons; Daniel, who works as an office manager for the family business, and Andrew, who is an automotive designer.

Company secretary Debbie Varnish still runs the business along with her brother; Steve Kibble – Autosales Ltd was set up by their parents, Barry and Ann, in 1958.

His new role will see him liaising with local companies that are purchasing vehicles.

March Varnish said: “I’ve come home to the family business and it’s great to be back. I’m very excited to be here and it’s a great opportunity because the current range of Mitsubishi vehicles, including the Outlander Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV), is proving extremely popular with business users.

“There’s a lot of industry in Bilston so there are plenty of opportunities to develop our business. We are very excited about the Outlander PHEV because of all the tax savings for businesses and individuals, but the whole range has something to offer.”

General manager of Autosales Mitsubishi Dean Mellings said: “We are all delighted to have Marc back on board. He has 37 years’ experience in sales and we know he will make a great impact on the fleet side of our business.”
