A Vauxhall Viva will not be flying off the forecourts at Thurlow Nunn’s Diss dealership any time soon – after a blackbird decided to make it home.

The Diss Express has reported last that, four weeks since staff at the Victoria Road operation spotted a nest on top of one of the hatchback’s wheels, they have been unable to sell the vehicle.

Scuppered by the 1981 Wildlife and Countryside Act, the team must wait until the bird’s nestlings have fledged. Until then, the £8,000 vehicle must remain their home.

A member of staff at Thurlow Nunn’s Diss dealership, told the Diss Express: “It’s a case of it’s under the wheel arch and we literally can’t move the car.”
