Listers Group is lining-up a relaunch of its Volvo Car UK dealership in Leamington Spa following a £2 million project to bring the facility up to the Swedish brand’s VRE corporate identity (CI).

The Stratford-Upon-Avon-based AM100 car retail group’s dealership on Heathcote was significantly upgraded follow the franchises acquisition from Tollbar Warwick, part of the Sytner Group.

A new customer lounge and a viewing window that allows customers to see all activity in the new workshops are part of the upgrade which will be revealed to customers when the showroom doors open for business on October 31.

Harry Bathe, dealer principal at Listers Leamington Spa Volvo, said: “We are delighted to be representing Volvo Cars UK in Leamington, with our new state of the art showroom.

“With petrol and diesel cars slowly becoming a thing of the past, we’ve ensured our new sustainable home is future-ready, with a number of electric vehicle charging points and a range of plug-in hybrid models to choose from – plus the pure electric XC40 and brand-new C40 – alongside a selection of petrol and diesel cars.”

Plans for Listers’ Volvo Leamington Spa franchise, posted on the car retailer’s website back in July, appear to suggest there had originally been plans to move the premium car brand to a new location.

In said at the time that the new dealership would be “located on Apollo way, where our existing Volkswagen Service Centre currently resides”.

Back in June AM reported how Clive Brook Volvo has committed to a multi-million-pound redevelopment of its existing Bradford dealership after “complex existing lease arrangements” stalled its relocation plans.

Work continues to upgrade dealerships across the Volvo network. Among the most recent site openings was Stoneacre’s dealership in Sunderland.
