Drive Motor Retail has celebrated its top performing employees at its annual OverDrive awards dinner.

The AM100 automotive dealer group, which operates Vauxhall, MG and Citroen franchises, held the black-tie gala at the Marriott Hotel in Leicester. More than 250 guests from across the business attended the event.

During the evening, more than 50 Drive Motor Retail staff members were recognised for their achievements, with prizes handed out to the top-performing employees across sales, bodyshop, customer service, aftersales and service departments.

The event was hosted by the company’s joint managing directors Rob Keenan and Stuart Harrison.

Keenan said: “It was fantastic to be able to get so many of the team together to recognise the amazing achievements of the past 12 months. We have had another strong year of trading and are now looking to push ahead with expansion plans, including rolling out our new used car brand across our UK sites.”

Harrison added: “Everyone has worked really hard this year and to be able to celebrate the team’s successes and thank them personally for their continued commitment was fantastic. Our performance this year highlights just how brilliant our employees are and to see them enjoying themselves and supporting each other at the awards demonstrates what a great team we have.”

Drive Motor Retail has focused on employee engagement this year after launching its new employee benefits at the beginning of the year, as well as recently awarding all team members with a Christmas bonus to help with the rising costs of living.

Drive Motor Retail is one of the UK’s largest privately owned automotive retail groups with a turnover of approximately £300 million per annum and over 700 members of staff employed in 16 dealerships across the country.

Earlier this year, the business vowed to match-fund the charitable efforts of its workforce in a bid to raise £50,000 for victims of the war in Ukraine.
