Lancashire dealer group Bowker Motor Group has tempted Paul Hattersley away from Swansway Garages to become its group buyer.
Hattersley will source used BMWs and Minis for AM100 group Bowker's franchised dealerships at both Blackburn and Preston, in line with Bowker's consolidation of the certain management functions.
Stock acquisition is the latest; in 2021 the group's sales function was restructured to develop management roles with group-wide responsibilities.
Bowker director Chris Eccles said: "We are delighted to welcome Paul Hattersley to our team at Bowker Motor Group. His extensive experience and expertise in the automotive industry, especially in luxury car sales, make him an invaluable addition to our group.
He had been Swansway's used car sales manager since 2019, and he has previous sales and management experience gained over two decades at other dealerships including Marshall Mercedes-Benz of Bolton, Williams Mini at Bolton and Perrys Peugeot.
"I am thrilled to join Bowker Motor Group as the used car group Buyer for Bowker BMW and Mini. I live locally and know all about the well-known Bowker family from working in the automotive sector for so long. It's an exciting new chapter in my career, and I'm looking forward to working alongside the Bowker team," said Hattersley.
Bowker, ranked 55 in the latest AM100 report, also retails BMW motorcycles and operates Porsche Centre Preston and an Ineos dealership at Osbaldeston.
