Chrysler never seems to be out the news these days as the carmaker struggles to retain its position as one of America's biggest carmakers.

Everyone seems to have an opinon on the issue, although a source gave me an interesting perspective recently.

The manufacturer has 21 models in its range which my source felt was "ridiculous" suggesting 11 would be a better a number.

They said globally Chrysler is producing the wrong type of cars.

The engines are too big, residual values are poor and the range is competing with each other in the same showroom.

Some thing had to give because in their eyes the carmaker was "going down the toilet" and not giving dealers enough support, although did say Chrysler produces a good product.

Of course this is one person's opinion which could be way off the mark.

What do you think?

Do you agree?
