Alfa Romeo–Giulietta

February 2014

The Alfa Romeo Giulietta gets a mild facelift for 2014 with a new grille and some slight changes to the lights to enhance the car’s stylish looks. However, the biggest change is underneath the sleek skin in the shape of a new 2.0-litre JTDM turbodiesel engine that now comes with 148bhp. This new engine offers more power and performance, dealing with 0-62mph in 8.8 seconds, yet it also improves economy and emissions to 67.3mpg and 110g/km respectively compared to the engine it replaces. Alfa says it has also improved economy and emissions for the rest of the engine range with this 2014 update.

On the inside of the Giulietta, Alfa has redesigned the seats to provide more comfort and support, which will be welcome news to high miles company drivers. There is also a new steering wheel and gloss black trim running the width of the dash. A new touchscreen for the Uconnect infotainment that works the stereo and other functions has been added and it can also have satellite navigation included as an option.
