David Kendrick has stepped into the role of managing director at Cooper Parry Wealth.
Kendrick, who leads Cooper Parry’s automotive transactions division, takes over from Stephen Jones, who is set to retire in the coming months after two decades of building the wealth management arm into a £1.7bn business.
His appointment comes nine months after his previous business - UHY Hacker Young’s Manchester office - was integrated into the Cooper Parry group, following what he describes as a successful integration period.
Now, Kendrick has laid out ambitions to quintuple assets under management within three years, a plan that includes leveraging technology, pursuing strategic acquisitions, and expanding the 80-strong team.
“This is the start of a new challenge,” said Kendrick. “We’ve got a solid base, an incredible team, and the backing of our investment partners at Lee Equity Partners. The next phase is all about scale.”
Kendrick will continue to lead Cooper Parry’s automotive transaction activity alongside his new responsibilities, aiming to offer an enhanced wealth proposition to the firm’s client base.
