BMW–Concept Activity Tourer

 Forget the ‘concept’ part of this car’s name, this BMW is set to become a production reality likely to be called 1 Series GT and is expected in showrooms late in 2014. It’s aimed squarely as a rival to the likes of the Mercedes B-Class, so it has a raised driving position, spacious and versatile cabin and a large boot. The rear seats will split 40-20-40 to give MPV levels of flexibility.

BMW will offer petrol, diesel and hybrid engine options, while front-wheel drive as standard is a break from tradition. However, all-wheel drive will be an option and a long-wheelbase model is also likely.
