Honda–Vezel
Nov 2014
The Vezel is a spiritual successor the Honda HR-V and is based on the same new platform as the next Jazz supermini. Using the Jazz as a base means the Vezel could be seen in the UK with petrol-electric hybrid power to give fuel economy of around 75mpg and sub-100g/km CO2 emissions. Honda has yet to confirm engines for the Vezel in the UK, but it is also set to use 1.5-litre petrol and diesel engines. There will be front-wheel drive versions of the Vezel and an intelligent four-wheel drive system that sends power to the rear wheels when traction is lost at the front. A seven-speed DSG gearbox should be offered alongside a six-speed manual transmission.
