Porsche–Macan

April 2014

For company drivers who thought a Porsche SUV was simply beyond their budget, the German firm has come up with the Macan. Smaller than the Cayenne, it is a rival for the Range Rover Evoque. It promises all of the driving excitement expected of a Porsche thanks to a turbodiesel 3.0-litre V6 producing 255bhp and notching up 0-62mph in 6.3 seconds. However, this engine also provides 159g/km CO2 emissions and 46.3mpg. There are also twin-turbo 3.0- and 3.6-litre V6 petrol engines for those who want to go faster. All Macans have a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox as standard, as well as stop-start technology and an off-road mode. The 3.0-litre petrol and diesel models both cost from £43,300 list price and the 3.6 Turbo begins at £59,300.
