Volvo–XC90

November 2014

Perhaps one of the most eagerly anticipated new cars of 2014 is the new Volvo XC90, which will finally replace the first generation model after more than 12 years’ service. The new XC90 will be unveiled at the Paris Motor Show in September and on sale by the end of the year. It will come with Volvo’s new 2.0-litre D4 turbodiesel with 181bhp as the entry to the range to provide business-friendly emissions and economy. Larger diesel engines will also be an option and Volvo will offer a plug-in hybrid version of the XC90. Safety will paramount for the XC90 and it will feature night-time pedestrian detection system, as well as active cruise control and road barrier detection.
