Air Freight Supervisor

An Air Freight Supervisor is required by a major Blue chip UK & International freight forwarding organisation, to manage an Air Import and Export Freight forwarding team. The purpose of the role will be to handle the day to day operations for this department, working closely with data quality, KPIs, P&L responsibilities and engaging with the team.

• Understand all elements of the department so they can help as needed
• Help with month end checks
• Responsible for ensuring the handover to days and nights is completed / tidied
• Visit clients as needed with sales or a manager
• Take monthly status calls with other DSV offices for VIP clients
• Manage and motivate an Air Freight Forwarding team

EXPERIENCE

• In depth knowledge of air freight (exports, imports, custom procedures)
• Good knowledge of road freight (T1 requirements, how to organise)
• Solid team (people) management skills
• Able to extract and read data from CW1
