We are supporting a family run business with 60 years combined motor industry experience in the motor trade, as they look to fill an exciting opportunity for a qualified TECHNICIAN to become part of their working family.

This is a Monday to Friday position, suited to an enthusiastic, competent Technician who wants to work in a business that really values and looks after their colleagues.

Your main responsibility will be General Servicing, Health checks and PDi’s to sales vehicles, getting them ready to leave the forecourt for their new owner.  You will work with various brands and models.

A typical week will involve: -

  • Servicing all makes and models to manufacturer guidelines, updating vehicle records and completing your job cards.
  • Identify and report on worn/replacement items as required.
  • Completing vehicle health checks (VHC’s) and recording your findings / recommendations.
  • Carrying out pre-delivery inspections (PDI’s).
  • Completing general light maintenance (brakes, exhaust systems and suspension components etc).

It’s essential you have (a minimum 3 years) hands on workshop experience and hold the relevant qualifications - Minimum NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or equivalent City & Guilds / IMI) qualification 

Additional requirements include: -

  • A positive “can do” attitude
  • Possess a friendly supportive mindset (this is a happy team environment)
  • Be focused on producing good quality work, taking pride in each job.
  • Full UK driving licence – ideally clean.

Need to know:

Hours are 8.30am – 5.30pm Monday to Friday (no weekends)

The salary is negotiable within the scope indicated, subject to your level of skill, experience and qualifications.
