Automotive Technician

Chester Automatic Transmission Centre is one of the UK's longest standing on most respected Automatic transmission specialist. We have built a reputation based on the quality of our work over the last 4 decades. 

Due to business growth and future development plans we're looking to recruit 2 automotive technicians who can join the team and help push us on to the next level. 

The 2 roles we have are as follows: 

Transmission specialist - someone who has experience stripping down and repairing transmissions. The ideal candidate will have a wealth of main dealer experience (preferably VAG, BMW, Mercedes) who can bring their knowledge and skills to provide a fresh insight. This role will be based predominantly on the repairing and rebuilding of transmissions but will also include tasks such as diagnostics, servicing, general maintenance etc. This role would suit a technically minded individual looking to expand their skillset through ongoing in-house training and nationally recognised training courses.

Transmission fitter - The second role is for a transmission fitter, the main duties will include the removal and refitting of transmissions, servicing, general maintenance, workshop maintenance etc. This role would suit a qualified technician who is looking to focus their attention in a more specialist role. We're big on staff development and will put the right candidate through various training courses with a view to them becoming an expert on automatic transmissions. 

Both roles are based in our workshop in Hawarden, North Wales and our working week is 40 hours Monday to Friday 8am - 5pm so no weekend work required!

Experience working in an automotive environment is absolutely essential for both roles, as is the use of your own tools.
