We have a exciting opportunity to join Aston Barclay Group as Head of LCV Development

Principle responsibilities include:

  • Lead and deliver the TCBG van buying strategy.
  • Execute the sales strategy for LCV growth across the Group.
  • Be a LCV specialist for the Group.
  • Provide MI & Reporting data for LCV performance.
  • Encourage & nurture strong working relationships with key stakeholders both internally & externally.

Duties include:

  • Work with the Chief Product Officer on marketing and strategies to attract the required LCV leads to convert into sales.
  • Increase overall LCV purchases for TCBG by working with dedicated Vehicle Purchasers.
  • Oversee the Van valuation process using the valuations team, wider AB resource and knowledge and develop successful approaches to valuations and continually review and improve.
  • Oversee the remarketing of vans including margins, performance and ongoing buying strategies.
  • Work with the wider LCV and sales teams to implement the short, medium, and long-term growth strategy for LCV sales, using market analysis that focuses on financial gain & customer satisfaction.
  • Develop a healthy pipeline of stock to establish TCBG LCV sales to sell through AB LCV sites.
  • Increase overall LCV sales for the Company in line with targets.
  • Grow market share from all existing customers and develop new business for LCV.
  • Identify new business opportunities, including new markets, growth areas, trends & customers.
  • Development of the prospect target matrix & pipeline management.
  • Plan sales campaigns that align to the Companies targets & seek support from the marketing team & other internal stakeholders to help drive these.
  • Work with customers & internal stakeholders alike to convert opportunities.
  • Be a technical specialist for LCV sales and develop LCV expertise across the group.
  • Carry out LCV Auctioneering as required.
  • Develop other Auctioneers to be able to deliver the highest level of service possible when auctioning LCV vehicles.
  • Keep abreast of the needs of LCV users & develop the sales programme in line with this.
  • Maintain a solid working knowledge of LCV vehicles to ensure we can best meet the needs of existing & potential customers.
  • Provide specialist advice & guidance to our customers on LCV vehicles.
  • Support with any LCV related requests for performance data or MI.

Skills/Experience:

  • Extensive experience in LCV automotive remarketing & digital sales channels.
  • Auctioneering experience preferred but not essential.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Proven ability to meet & exceed sales targets.
  • Organisation & time management skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously & as part of a team.
  • Good understanding of Excel, Word & PowerPoint.
  • Exceptional negotiation skills.
  • Ability to effectively present information & negotiate with all levels of management.
  • Effective decision-making skills.
  • Ability to develop relationships internally and externally.
