HGV Technician

Our client is looking for a fully qualified and experienced Level 3 HGV Vehicle Technician to join their busy team in Rayleigh and contribute to a company which prides itself on delivering quality services for all its contracts. Our client is a well-established but rapidly expanding organisation who maintains its own large fleet of HGVs, vans and vehicles at the onsite workshop.

Responsibilities and duties

- Perform vehicle repairs to a high standard
- General servicing of vehicles
- All mechanical repairs
- Diagnosing faults
- Complete Client documentation

Knowledge/experience/qualifications required for this role

- NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds level 3 (or equivalent) in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (HGV)
- Experience of working in a Vehicle Maintenance/Repair environment
- Work unsupervised in a well-equipped workshop
- 3 years post qualification experience
- Own vehicle and tools (specialist tools provided)
- current UK driving licence

- Pay: £15 - £16.50 ph (depending on experience)
- Hours: 50hrs per week Monday to Friday 7.00am 5.00pm (negotiable); cover on call rota every 2 weeks
- Overtime: Saturdays if required
- Holidays: 20 days plus Bank Holidays
- Pension: standard government pension scheme
