Our client, a well-established dealership business, is looking for a fully qualified and experienced Master Vehicle Technician (and MOT tester - not essential as training will be provided) to join their busy team in Basingstoke and contribute to a company who offer an excellent level of service and care to its customers.
Responsibilities and duties
- Perform vehicle repairs to a high standard
- Diagnosing faults using modern diagnostic equipment
- General servicing of vehicles
- All mechanical repairs
- Coaching and Mentoring apprentices
- Complete Client documentation
MOT Tester (if/when qualified)- Responsibilities and duties
- Conduct MOT inspections in line with DVSA Standards
- Conduct Vehicle inspections in accordance with Vehicle Inspectorates procedures
- Identify worn and faulty components in accordance with DVSA Standards
Knowledge/experience/qualifications required for this role
- Minimum City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3 Automotive Servicing & Repair or equivalent
- Qualified to Master Technician level (desirable)
- Minimum VAG trained (essential)
- Previous experience in a main dealer environment (essential)
- Great diagnostic skills
- Good communicator, with excellent customer service skills
- Working on your own or as part of the team
- A clean, full UK driving license
- Own vehicle and tools (specialist tools will be provided)
- Active and clean DVSA License (not essential as training can be provided)
- Knowledge on current MOT standards (not essential as training can be provided)

- Pay: £26,000 - £28,000 (depending on experience) Bonus available
- Hours: 8.30am 5.30pm Monday to Friday; 8.30am - 12.30pm every other Saturday
- Overtime: Available
- Holidays: 23 days plus Bank Holidays
