Our client, a large Accident Repair Centre is currently recruiting for a Parts Assistant to join their team in the Newbury area of Berkshire. The basic salary on offer is £23.5k, plus bonus and many other benefits taking potential earnings to £30k.

This is a pivotal role for our client. Once a policy holders' vehicle has had its damage assessed and an estimate for repair has been produced, the Parts Assistant orders the parts required on order for full repairs to be made. 

You'll be responsible for all aspects of ordering, pricing and and administration - even sourcing parts that are unavailable through the usual channels. Plus the stock control for all paint and consumables. 

You'll liaise with their bodyshop technicians and provide high levels of customer contact and communications throughout the vehicle repairs. 

Key Accountabilities:

  • Accountability for appropriate parts provision service and timely communication to enable effective repairs. 
  • Identifying, owning and managing the risks involved in running our business appropriate to this role. 
  • Accountability for Health and Safety regulations, company health and safety policies and procedures appropriate to this role. 
  • Ensuring all relevant legal requirements are met and any records are correctly maintained.


Key Skills / Experience:

  • Previous experience in a similar role 
  • A strong parts background gained in a bodyshop environment 
  • Possess strong organisational skills and attention to detail 
  • Excellent communication skills

Working hours: 40 hour week on two shifts 7-4 and 9-6 with overtime on a Saturday morning one in three
