Service Manager / Aftersales manager


£40,000 Basic Salary + £15,000 Bonus

C&B Recruitment are currently working with a fantastic Dealer Group in Sheffield as they look for a Service Manager / Aftersales Manager. 

The Service Manager is responsible for ensuring the profitable and efficient performance of the service department through improving customer satisfaction and retention in order to deliver against one of the companies key priorities of growing Aftersales. 

Responsibilities of a Service Manager / Aftersales Manager

• To unleash the potential of the service team by setting stretching objectives and providing regular feedback on performance against these objectives. 

• To ensure that all employees within service have a current PDR to maximise performance and to support individuals development. 

• To resource the service team appropriately with a quality that is consistent with the companies Way 

• To have the appropriate resourcing mix to deliver an Incredible Customer Experience 

• Maintain good relationships with our Brand partners. 

• Ensure that compliance is enforced and that it meets all the obligations relating to the customer experience and to the manufacturers standards within the service arena. 

• Encourage the after sales team to review processes to ensure they are working in the most efficient way. 

• Be receptive to new ways of doing things and actively encourage your team to try out new ideas 

• Periodic review of the pricing of servicing and repairs to ensure we are competitive

• Inspire your teams to deliver an Incredible Customer Experience for every customer 

• Monitor levels of first time fix to ensure we are delivering customer service excellence 

• To understand the key measures including Customer, financial and operational. 

• Ensure compliance with policies, standards and legal requirements 

• Monitor key technician metrics such as productivity, efficiency, utilisation and provide feedback on performance improvements required 

The Ideal Service Manager / Aftersales manager

• Experience in a similar position in a main dealer environment 

• Ability to manage others 

• Ability to lead by example and inspire the team to deliver an Incredible performance 

• Strong customer focus

• Knowledge of the automotive industry
