This is a fantastic opportunity to join us as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic at our busy workshop in Leicester.

Salary: £32,000 + OTE including realistic bonus & overtime

Hours: 40 hours per week Monday – Friday plus every other Saturday morning 8am-12pm overtime paid

The workshop in Leicester provides maintenance, servicing and warranty work to our fleet of vehicles. The workshop is an integral part of our business, alongside providing regional workshop support of other Northgate sites and large corporate client fleets in the area.

We need your technical knowhow to combine with our supply partner’s state-of-the-art technology – this makes us an unbeatable combination. As you would expect we are using manufacturer diagnostic technology in all our workshops. Our aim is to ensure our customer vehicles get back on the road where they belong as quickly as possible, allowing our customer to keep their promises.

We will provide training, both in house via our technical training business partners, and through the various manufacturers we work with, this will include electric vehicle diagnostic and repair. We want to work with you to build a long and successful career with Northgate.

The Role

Using your technical knowledge to work on the electrical and mechanical systems for a range of light commercial vehicles, we can promise that every day will be packed with variety. You will use the diagnostic equipment to get to the root cause of faults, carry out technical maintenance, repair or replace parts, perform preventive maintenance and MOT preparation.

You

You will be technically trained or have spent time served in the automotive sector or similar environment. A full driving license is essential. We’ll also expect you to be a team player who’s continually focused on the needs of customers.
