Workshop Porter – Royal Park, London
Salary – £18K+
The Client:
Supplying the Film and TV industry, commercials and photographers for over 5 decades and offer a vast range of contemporary furniture and classics sourced from all over the world
The Role:
To prepare customers’ orders in accordance to the requirement in a timely and accurate fashion. To unpack orders on return and manage the showroom displays and stock.
Responsibilities:
* Checking preparing and packing jobs ready for despatch
* Unpacking and checking returns and marking down any loss or damage and writing reports where necessary
* Loading and unloading jobs as required
* Returning stock to the showroom in a tidy manner
* Helping the display team with displays and generally keeping the showroom tidy
* Making sure the stock is kept in hireable condition.
Essential Skills & Experience:
* Basic report writing
* Teamwork - ability to work collaboratively with others
* Communication/ interpersonal skills - ability to converse and interact well with colleagues and clients whenever required
* Organisation skills- ability to manage workload against deadlines
* Heavy lifting- ability to lift heavy items with relative ease and correct posture
* Team player attitude- ability to actively contribute to a team effort to complete a task/goal
* Minimum GCSE’s English and Maths
* High school education
* BTEC/Apprenticeship
Desirable:
* Adaptability- ability to learn new skills/behaviours in responses to changing circumstances
* Work ethic- ability to recognize hard work, diligence and doing your job to the best of your capability
Hours:
* 42.5 hours
* Monday – Friday, 8am – 5:30pm
