What is TPS?
TPS (Trade Parts Specialists (www.thetradepartsspecialists.co.uk) is a very successful national sales organisation with 60 centres, 1,100 employees and a £45m operating cost-base. Last year the TPS business grew sales to the Independent Motor Trader market by some £20m.
Having seen rapid growth during the last 5 years, the business now enters a new phase of growth. In a competitive market the ongoing success of the TPS business will be secured by every individual in the TPS network playing their part in the delivery of sales growth objectives.
With huge opportunity to grow sales of service and repair parts in the IMT market, the future is bright for the TPS business. With continued investment earmarked for network development, service initiatives and marketing, the company has set its sights on delivering continued aggressive development, growing sales by another 50% over the next 5 years.
The purpose of the role is for the Regional Sales Manager to be responsible for the delivery of budgeted TPS sales results through the tactical and strategic leadership of the 10 TPS sites in the region. The role is responsible for, the implementation of all tactical activities in the region, and through working with the National Sales Manager ensures performance delivery is maximised in the region.
Key accountabilities of the role include detailed performance through people in each of the TPS Centres to identify any of areas of opportunity. Developing and managing the ongoing sales and growth planning process by helping to identify opportunities and offering solutions with clear measures to support business improvement.
The successful candidate will be highly numerate, have a high degree of commercial acumen, the ability to demonstrate creativity and innovation and be able to deliver performance through people. They will ideally be degree educated, with strong people engagement skills. They will possess a real energy in their approach to their task and will be able to demonstrate proven £ note results in their career history.
