The launch of S-Type has been more successful than even Jaguar dealers could have hoped and one dealer manager told Automotive Management he was “embarrassed” at the profit margins he was making on the car.

The prospect of another 'volume' Jaguar, the X400, is mouthwatering and Jaguar is rightly rated top of the pops. The new car sales opportunities are only surpassed by the used car business. Sadly, all the network development was completed some years ago and the only opportunities arise when an existing territory changes hands between already approved players.
