Outstanding online exposure for dealers and increased choice for customers is the promise of a new website partnership between AutoLocate and Fish4Cars.

AutoLocate aims to generate even more high quality sales inquiries for subscribing dealers whose used vehicle stock can now be uploaded to Fish4, one of the biggest consumer web portals in the UK.

It is promised that visitors to Fish4 will also benefit from a greater number and increased range of vehicles than was previously available. They will also have access to the vehicle photographs and option lists which AutoLocate has to offer.

Steve Ricketts, AutoLocate strategic development manager, said: "This arrangement with a portal partner of the quality of Fish4 is excellent news for everyone from our dealer clients to our customers."

Fish4 publisher Russell Scott said: "The addition of the cars from AutoLocate increases our ability to offer the consumer the most comprehensive source of used cars in the UK today, ensuring more people find the car they are looking for at Fish4 than anywhere else."

Hundreds of UK dealers already publish their stock daily via AutoLocate to web portals such as Yahoo!, Exchange & Mart and Channel 4's 4car.co.uk.

The uploading of the used car stock to the Fish4 site is fully automated and happens once a day. Participating dealers pay a fee for the service based on the volume of cars on the website.

At the moment the service is offered on a free trial over the Christmas period.

Mr Ricketts said there was no AutoLocate branding on the Fish4 site.

"We are not interested in creating a consumer brand that would compete with Fish4. We are happy to work with the motor trade and make sure they're happy, promoting themselves through different consumer partners."
