Dealers can now offer used car buyers instant assurance that their vehicles have received the 'all-clear' with the HPI stamp of approval.

Equifax, which owns the brand, is allowing dealers to use its logo in connection with the HPI GoldCheck and Classic Check services. John Gray, Equifax Automotive divisional director, said: “Dealers who use our recognised brand are providing assurance to their customers that they have thoroughly investigated the history of the vehicles being offered for sale.”

Equifax has also launched HPI E-Check on its www.hpicheck.com website, which enables buyers of used cars to conduct vehicle history checks on the internet, and a DAS Legal Helpline.
