Glenvarigill Group, the Edinburgh-based motor retail subsidiary of the Drambuie liqueur company, has taken the Seat franchise in Aberdeen.

The Seat outlet will be in a new £500,000 dealership alongside an existing Peugeot site in the Altens area of the city.

Tim Bartlett, Glenvarigill managing director, said: “This is the latest move in our planned programme of growth. We see Seat fitting neatly into our existing portfolio. Our plan has always been to attract another franchise to sit alongside Peugeot in Aberdeen and Seat fits the bill perfectly. We will be operating from temporary accommodation until the new facility is built.”

Glenvarigill, which now operates 18 outlets and represents 10 carmakers, including Ferrari, Porsche, Jensen, Chrysler, Jeep and Suzuki, is also looking to relocate its outlet in Dundee.
