Dealers can now source parts over the internet with the launch this month of Partstrade.com.

The website - www.partstrade.com - links motor factors, dealers, bodyshops, service providers, suppliers and importers in the UK and Europe. It claims to provide a “fast and effective” form of trading and includes a Partsmart trading platform, which allows businesses to advertise special offers.

Jess Lawrance, Partstrade.com marketing manager, said: “The advantages of using modern technology as a trading medium are endless, but the main benefits fall under time and costs saving, and extending business reach.

“For example, with the Partsmart trading platform the opportunity to advertise and search for super competitive lines means that costly and time-consuming jobs – such as sourcing quotes or planning the best way to sell surplus stock – are removed.

“Even smaller players are given the opportunity to extend their trade chain and make it worldwide.”

Businesses registering with Partstrade.com will be entitled to a free registration period of four months. After October, Partstrade.com will charge either £15 or £30 a month depending on the service level chosen.
