Commercial service manager Tom Middleton said: “It's all part of their ongoing training programme. The lads are all fully qualified technicians who know the old Transit inside out.
“However, the new Transit has a range of additional features, including an upgraded engine specification and WDS electronics. The team need to know about these features and their implications for maintenance and repair.”
Mr Middleton is enthusiastic about the new Transit. But he does have one complaint: “It just doesn't seem to go wrong, which is great news for the customer, but not so good for us.”
