Vauxhall is extending Network Q, its used car programme, to include a comprehensive van scheme.

Network Q vans will be sold through participating Vauxhall Van Centres, up to a total of 195 sites nationwide. So far 40 centres are operating the scheme.

Vauxhall aims to make some of the best used vans available with similar assurances that customers get when they buy a Network Q used car. It promises the highest level of preparation and reconditioning on the market.

Vans of all makes up to four years old, and with less than 100,000 miles, are eligible for sale through the scheme. Dealers carry out a 114-point check similar to that used for cars.

Customers receive comprehensive back-up with benefits including a six-month, unlimited mileage warranty (with extensions of six or 12 months available) and six months Network Q Assistance through the AA.

This package includes a replacement van for up to two days, if the AA cannot repair the owner's vehicle within four hours. Breakdown cover is pan-European.

Martin Brown, Network Q brand manager, said: "The used van sector is currently dominated by independent specialists. I believe there is a need for a comprehensive and expert used programme, backed by a manufacturer. Network Q for Used Vans will give customers the same level of warranty and product support as if they were investing in a Network Q car.

"Vauxhall's growing van range is attracting more and more customers, and there is a need to support our customers of both new and used vans. We are well positioned to do this using our considerable expertise of the used vehicle market."

Van Centre details are available on Network Q's www.network-q.co.uk website, which will also carry individual van details.
