Jac Nasser is said to be on the brink of being ousted from his position as chief executive of Ford Motor Company.

Forbes magazine reports that he could lose his job as a result of ongoing differences of opinion with chairman William Clay Ford Jr.

“Nasser, who has managed to hang on through more than a year of company struggles, has lost the confidence of the Ford family and will probably be ousted before the year is out”, Forbes says, giving as its source senior Ford executives and family members.

It speculates that Mr Ford, North American group vice president Nick Scheele or, as a “long shot”, Wolfgang Reitzle, Premier Automotive Group boss, could succeed Mr Nasser.
