The Reg Vardy Group, ranked third in the AM100, has announced an all-auction disposal policy on non-retail part-exchange vehicles and over-age stock. These vehicles will be sold exclusively through a programme of sales at British Car Auctions. The partnership is expected to remarket around 40,000 vehicles annually.

This new sales programme will be fully branded under the Reg Vardy name and vehicles will be exclusively remarketed by BCA through eight locations nationwide - Belle Vue, Blackbushe, Brighouse, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Newcastle, Nottingham and Walsall.

In the first week of the new programme, which got underway last month, nearly 700 vehicles were sold on behalf of Vardy's equivalent to a conversion rate of just under 80%.

Belle Vue and Blackbushe are holding one sale per week, with all other locations holding twice weekly Reg Vardy sales. BCA Newcastle has introduced a dedicated Reg Vardy sale day each Friday, the first weekly solus vendor sale anywhere in the BCA network. Nigel McMinn, Reg Vardy commercial director said: "BCA offered us a structured and professional approach to remarketing our non-retail and overage stock, that will allow us to maximise revenues and minimise costs incurred. With BCA's national network and marketing expertise, it means our dealerships can remarket their stock swiftly and efficiently."

BCA will utilise its dealer services department to provide a centrally controlled account management function for Reg Vardy. A full national and local promotion programme, of advertising, direct mail, tele-sales and internet marketing has been implemented to maximise buying power for the Vardy stock.

BCA is also providing a full auction remarketing consultancy programme nationwide for Reg Vardy's general managers and sales managers, focusing on vehicle valuation, appraisal and effective use of auction.
