Vauxhall dealership, Hartwell Oxford, has been named the best in the country for overall service and facilities when choosing and maintaining a Motability car.

It is the first winner of the new Motability Motoring awards, part of the fifth annual Ease of Access, Service and Employment Awards (EASE).

The awards recognised the dealership's commitment to helping disabled people understand their mobility entitlements and to finding them the best car for their needs. Each award was voted for by disabled people.

Motability specialist Andrew Vernon accepted the two awards from Noel Muddiman, chief executive of the charity, at the London Hilton. He said: "It's important that disabled people, of whatever age, realise that a car can really open the way for them to get the most out of life. I'm proud that our customers have put their backing behind what we do at Hartwell." (November 1, 2001)
