CD Bramall chairman Tony Bramall, who made a fortune from motor retailing and returned to head a major group, is one of five motor industry personalities nominated for the 2001 Castrol IMI Gold Medal.

The medal will be presented at the IMI's annual dinner in March to the individual, company or other organisation “making the most outstanding contribution to the UK motor industry”. Tony Willard, Automotive Management editor, is one of the judges.
