Land Rover has been forced to cut prices by £3,000 due to the burgeoning market in European imports.

The Range Rover range now starts at £36,995 for the County version, the Range Rover HSE is £42,995 and the top-of-the-range Vogue 4.6 is priced at £49,995.

Mike Wright, Land Rover UK managing director, said: “We have made our decision to reduce prices acknowledging that some customers have imported their vehicles. UK dealers already offer better standard warranty provision, higher equipment levels, trade-in opportunities and a wide range of financing possibilities.

“These new prices should now give customers even greater confidence to buy in the UK.” Figures from the SMMT show that European imports increased by 218.33% in January year-on-year.
