Three Vauxhall models have won accolades in the annual What Car? Top 100 Used Car Bargains search.

Leading the hat trick is Omega which won the executive cars class for its reliability, price, ride and handling, its build quality and its durability. 'What Car?' says: “If it had a BMW badge, buyers would probably pay double.”

The Astra took the small cars award for its engine, ride quality and its availability – more than 92,000 people bought an Astra last year and in 1999, so there is an excellent range of used cars in the marketplace. 'What Car?' called it an “excellent all-rounder”.

And the Astra-based Zafira flexible seven-seater, winner of the What Car? MPV of the Year for the last two years – takes the best used car award as well. The citation says: “It is good to drive and has simply superb versatility.” It is also dubbed “the MPV with a PhD in practicality.”
