Softlab Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of BMW Group, has sold its UK automotive OEM software, systems integration and services business to Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC).

With the sale complete IT services provider CSC will take over the provision of information technology support and development services for the production of the new Mini.

It will also support the production behind the launch of the new MG from Rover, as well as Range Rover products, which are part of Ford's Premier Automotive Group.

The sale of the UK Automotive OEM division will provide increased focus on Softlab's growing business in the finance, telecommunications, utilities and retail sectors.
