Yorkshire independent motor retailer the Nidd Vale Group is re-locating to its new 3.4-acre site at Nidd Vale Corner, Leeds Road, Harrogate tomorrow.

The firm's head office and Vauxhall sales operation moves from its current Westmoreland Street and will re-open on Sunday.

Nidd Vale has invested £3m at the new site, which is already occupied by the company's Saab franchise. A 40,000 sq-ft showroom has been created with a capacity for nearly 200 cars.

Colin Hainstock, Nidd Vale's operation's director, said: “The new premises represent the largest ever investment by Nidd Vale and this development is therefore a major milestone. The Leeds Road site is one of the most strategically important motor retailing locations in Yorkshire as it is passed by up to 20,000 motorists every day.”
