CD Bramall enhances consumer website

CD Bramall has relaunched its consumer website offering buyers the chance to search dealer group's nationwide network of cars.

The site gives access to every new and second-hand vehicle in the CD Bramall network, both car and commercial.

The new online buying facility allows the selection of options on new cars, with instant updating of the finance cost.

Neil Addley, CD Bramall marketing director, says, "Whilst on-line car sales are still a relatively small part of the overall market, we have developed this facility with an eye to growing consumer confidence in the web as a shopping medium. The system is particularly useful for getting an up-to-the-minute costing on a particular kind of vehicle within your own monthly budget."

Once the customer has identified their vehicle using the system refers the buyer to the CD Bramall network to complete the purchase.

Bramall's strategy is to develop e-commerce fulfilment within its network, rather than to create additional tiers of administration which can "frustrate customer care and increase costs".

"The other major advantage is that the system gives you desktop access to a nationwide forecourt, ideal for finding precisely the vehicle of your choice," said Mr Addley
