Web marketing gathers pace

Volvo franchised dealer Rejimes in Sweden has commissioned a new digital channel called Active TV, which offers viewers an interactive test drive booking service for the S60.

Using a remote control, viewers can get more information on the model, order a brochure and arrange a test drive. In seconds, the information reaches the nearest Volvo dealership.

Meanwhile, Land Rover is giving American buyers of its 2002 Freelander model the chance to configure specification and place an order online five months before it hits the showrooms.

Visitors to www.freelander.com, which launches in August, can get a peek preview of the car before using the new interactive service. They will also be able to track the car online, from assembly to delivery.
