General Motors is likely to copy Ford's Premier Automotive Group by putting its luxury brands together. The Cadillac CTS, which debuts at next month's Frankfurt motor show, goes on UK sale from April through a revised dealer network with Saab.

A drastic overhaul of the brand's marketing in the UK is underway after sales of the single £34,500 Seville model slumped from 158 in 1999 to 61 last year.

Strikingly similar to the Cadillac is Opel's Signum 11 concept, previewing a variation on the next Vectra due in the UK next summer.
