From carpets to cars for DCUK's new retail MD

DaimlerChrysler UK has appointed Geoff Brady as the new managing director of its retail operations to be known as DaimlerChrysler UK Retail.

This newly created role will have responsibility for all DaimlerChrysler UK owned retail operations which include Mercedes-Benz new and used vehicles and the Smart cars. He will be a board member of DCUK and reports to the managing director of DaimlerChrysler UK, Joachim Eberhardt.

Mr Brady has worked in the UK retail business all his career with some of the high street's biggest names, including J. Sainsbury, Woolworth, SuperDrug and Kingfisher. Most recently he was chief executive of Allied Carpets and then executive chairman of 21store.com.
