GM Daewoo offers 'comfort zone' via phone servicing

GM Daewoo used the recent British International Motor Show at Birmingham to announce a centralised vehicle service booking facility.

The company claims it is the first time such a service has been offered to retail customers in the UK market and will give GM Daewoo car owners a facility and the “comforting” service typically enjoyed by fleet customers.

Customers wishing to book their Daewoo vehicle in for a service simply call 0800 060606. The assistant will then identify their nearest dealer and book the service at a time convenient for the caller.

The service will be delivered via the carmaker's network of 30 distributors and 51 AA Service Centres across the UK. Says GM Daewoo UK's md Andy Carroll: “Although other manufacturers offer this service on the web page, we believe that centralised service booking directly with an assistant is a more comforting experience.”
