BCA is working on closely guarded plans to develop and expand its auction network. “BCA has on the drawing board plans for the development of a new supercentre at one of the most accessible and strategically important locations in the country,” says customer affairs director Tom Madden.

“There has never been more competition for customers' attention with different routes to market, yet at a time when it appears some may be cutting corners, our confidence in the auction market remains undiminished.” The move is part of BCA's long-standing public plan to continually cultivate its auction centre network. Infrastructure and building work has already begun at BCA's Glasgow centre where the firm is replacing the site's old facilities with a brand new complex.

BCA is also building a new commercial vehicle valeting centre at Measham and wants to buy land to expand the site's commercial vehicle operation - already one of the biggest of its kind in Europe. In the Midlands, the company has secured a further 10 acres of land at BCA Nottingham.

Now extending to 30 acres, the site is BCA's third largest European auction centre after Blackbushe in Surrey and Belle Vue, Manchester.
