Mazda has launched a new finance arm in the UK in a bid to build on its current success. Hot on the heels of the new Mazda6, Mazda Credit allows dealers to offer a range of over the counter retail products as well as fleet-focused business to business services.

Mazda Credit will use a team of dedicated Mazda field-based “zone managers” to reach its network of 115 dealers. And while Mazda Credit will utilise the family-run Ford Credit back offices, UK sales manager David McGonigle will head a team operating from Mazda's offices in Dartford, Kent.

The firm will install an automated system to help dealers provide prospects with finance quotes and proposals in every dealership across the UK. So far, the Telepartner system has been fitted in 70 dealerships. James Muir, managing director of Mazda Motors UK, says: “Mazda Credit is key to the Mazda brand philosophy that every Mazda should be fun to drive, fun to buy, fun to use and fun to own.”

The full range of services includes insurance, hire purchase, personal contract purchase, guaranteed asset protection and a range of payment protection plans.

Mazda Business Partner will work with corporate customers to create and package a range of services to the fleet sector including, conditional sale, contract hire and flexible lease.
